Warm days in Palm Springs call for a delicious hamburger and a cold beer. Lucky for you, there are a number of places where you can pull up a seat and enjoy just that!

TYLER'S

Jam-packed daily with locals, snowbirds and tourists alike, TYLER’S is a go-to burger joint in Palm Springs. Set in the historic Le Plaza in the old Greyhound Bus Station Depot, Tyler’s is self-proclaimed as offering the best hamburger in Palm Springs, and the wait to get a seat indicates that statement’s truth. If you want a solid hamburger, cheeseburger or even a few sliders, this is the place to go. In addition to burgers, they make soups fresh daily and have wonderful sandwiches, as well as delicious side dishes – really you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. If traditional burgers aren’t your thing, or if you’re watching your waistline, order the kale salad (not on the menu), which comes with a turkey burger on top. Make sure you ask your server for the special habanero sauce for your fries or hamburger. Tyler’s accepts cash only, so bring some green.

GRIND BURGER BAR

Grind-Brgr-Bar
Just up the street on Palm Canyon in downtown Palm Springs is GRIND BRGR BAR. You can’t go wrong with the classic Grind Burger, but they have a wide selection of unique options. They use all-natural, grass-fed beef and the burgers are BIG, so come with an appetite. Enjoy your meal from the second floor patio for a great view of downtown. They have a good selection of beers on tap and a full bar, and if you have room after your burger, a spiked milk shake should hit the spot.

If BBQ sauce, bacon and jalapeno cheese are your kinds of toppings, their Awesome Burger is for you (hint: it’s awesome!). And go crazy – add a fried egg! The turkey burgers are also very tasty and juicy. They have a full bar and plenty of TVs so you can catch the game, and the service is friendly and the ambiance comfortable. It’s also one of the few restaurants in town open late daily.
